How to Make Halloween Treat Boxes
Step 1: Download the Free SVG File– First things first, grab the free Halloween Treat Box SVG bundle from the Freebie Library. You’ll get five different face designs to choose from, including two pumpkins, a ghost, a cat, and a monster—perfect for all your spooky needs!

Step 2: Set Up in Cricut Design Space– Once you’ve downloaded the SVG files, it’s time to jump into Cricut Design Space. I’ll show you how to set up your design, including attaching the score lines to your box design. Don’t worry, it’s easier than it sounds! Just follow along with the step-by-step tutorial in the video below.

Step 3: Cut Your Materials– You’ll use various cardstock colors and adhesive vinyl for this project. I recommend using a light grip mat for your cardstock and a standard grip mat for your vinyl. Don’t forget to insert your scoring stylus into the Cricut machine before cutting your cardstock. This will ensure that your machine scores the lines on your cardstock, making assembly a breeze!

Step 4: Follow the Score Lines and Add the Vinyl Faces– First, follow the score lines on your cut pieces and use a bone folder to get crisp, clean folds. This will make assembling the boxes much easier later on. Once you’ve got those crisp folds, it’s time to add those adorable vinyl faces! Before assembling the boxes, use contact paper as your transfer tape to apply the vinyl to the cardstock. Contact paper is gentler on the cardstock, preventing any damage. Carefully align and apply the vinyl faces to each box panel.

Step 5: Glue and Assemble the Boxes– Once the vinyl faces are in place, it’s time to assemble! Use Beacon 3-in-1 glue to secure the tabs and form your boxes. I used some little clothespins to hold the tabs together to keep everything in place while the glue dried.
Using Your Halloween Treat Boxes

These boxes are perfect for so many uses! Fill them with candy corn, chocolates, or even small toys like erasers or pencils. They make fantastic gifts for neighbors, teachers, or even residents in assisted living facilities. If you’re hosting a Halloween party, these treat boxes will be a hit as party favors or table decor.
